- A perfect port of the original NEOGEO game: Enjoy the classic "ARCADE MODE" as well as the new "MISSION MODE," which allows you to choose your preferred stage. Train in your favorite stages or challenge yourself in the most difficult ones!
- New playable characters: Two female recruits, Eri (former super agent) and Fio (heiress of a military family), join Regular Army's PF Squad Marco and Tarma to bring an end to Gen. Morden's dastardly plans. You'll also be assisted by a heroic prisoner once freed and a volunteer who provides bonus items!
- Expanded arsenal: Discover new weapons such as the "Laser Shot" and "Flame Bottles," as well as slug vehicles like the "Slugnoid" (bipedal tank) and the "Slug Flyer" (fighter plane). In the Desert Stage, you'll even encounter the "Camel Slug," a camel equipped with a Vulcan Cannon!
- Precise controls: Take advantage of the control scheme, which allows for precise controls and features an "Autofire" option to continuously fire your weapons. You can also customize the position of buttons outside of the game screen area in "Window mode."
- Intense cooperative gameplay: Use the Wi-Fi function to enjoy multiplayer gaming with a friend. Will you be able to conquer the hardest stages together?
- Compatible with "GAME CENTER": Compete for the top spot by completing achievements and beating high scores. Aim to become the world's number one "METAL SLUG 2" player!
